What stays on your device

Your API key(s) — stored locally via chrome.storage.local
Your summary history — stored locally via chrome.storage.local
Your settings (theme, default provider) — stored locally via chrome.storage.local

We have no servers. We never see any of this.

What gets sent externally

When you click "Summarize," the current page's text is sent to the LLM provider you selected (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini), authenticated with your own API key. The summary is returned directly to your browser. We are not involved in this exchange in any way.

storage Save your API keys, summary history, and settings locally on your device.
activeTab Read the current page's URL and title when you click Summarize.
scripting Inject a self-contained content extractor on demand to read the page's visible text.
host_permissions Direct API access to api.openai.com, api.anthropic.com, and generativelanguage.googleapis.com — solely to send page text to your chosen LLM.
